How to Block FACEIT Video Ads Before Matches

If you play FACEIT on a free account, you know the routine: you accept the match, and before you can focus on the veto a video ad starts playing. It is distracting at the exact moment you want to check your teammates and pick a map. Here is how to get rid of it.

Why regular ad blockers don’t always work

General-purpose ad blockers rely on filter lists that target common ad networks. FACEIT’s pre-match video ads are served in a way that these lists don’t always catch, and when they do, the site layout can break. A FACEIT-specific blocker targets only the video ad, so the rest of the match room keeps working normally.

Block FACEIT video ads with Faceit Skill (free)

Faceit Skill includes a FACEIT video ad blocker that is 100% free — it is not part of Premium.

1. Open the Faceit Skill page on the Chrome Web Store.
2. Click “Add to Chrome” (this also works in Edge, Opera, Brave and other Chromium browsers).
3. Reload faceit.com. That’s it — the pre-match video ads are gone.
