How to Check a FACEIT Player’s Reputation Before a Match
By Couto · · 5 min read
Elo and K/D tell you how well someone plays. They tell you nothing about whether that person will communicate, stay until the end or tilt the whole team. That is what reputation is for. Here is how to check it before the first round.
What “reputation” means on FACEIT
FACEIT doesn’t publicly show how pleasant a player is to play with. Faceit Skill fills that gap with community votes: every user of the extension can mark a player as Good or Bad. The result is an approval rating — the percentage of good votes — that you can see for any player who has been rated.
Step 1: Look at the match room
Once the extension is installed, open any match room. Next to each player you will see their approval rating and, if you’ve played with them before, your own tag. Free users get stats for 5 players; Premium shows all 10, including the enemy team.
Step 2: Read your private notes
If you left a note on a player in a previous match (“good AWPer”, “leaves when losing”), it shows up automatically. This is the fastest way to remember someone you played with weeks ago.
Step 3: Check the global leaderboard
Want to look someone up outside of a match? The Faceit Skill rankings page lists players by approval rating, most commended and most reported. You can search by nickname to see how the community has voted.
How to read the numbers
- Above 50% (green): most players who voted had a good experience.
- Exactly 50% (yellow): mixed opinions — look at your own notes or the number of votes.
- Below 50% (red): most votes were negative. Be ready to mute, or queue with a party next time.
- Few votes: treat the rating as a hint, not a verdict. A player with 2 votes can swing either way.
Make the system better
Reputation only works if people vote. Tag your teammates after every match — good ones too. It takes two seconds and makes the ratings more accurate for everyone.
